This program was created to help injured workers who were fired because of their work injury.
This benefit is provided by the State for lost wages and only applies to work that was injured on or after January 1, 2013 and has received a Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB).
An injured worker whose employer does not offer suitable regular, modified, or alternative work within 60 days of receipt by the claims administrator of a medical treatment or medical evaluation report that the injury.
The employee caused a permanent partial disability may also qualify for Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB).
Employees injured on or after January 1, 2004 who are permanently disabled and whose employer does not offer other work may qualify for Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB). The benefit comes in the form of a non-transferable voucher that can be used to pay for vocational rehabilitation at a state-approved or accredited school. The coupon covers tuition, books, and other expenses required by the school for training. It can also be used to pay for licenses or certification and testing fees, to purchase tools required for a training course, to purchase computer equipment up to $ 1,000, and to reimburse up to $ 500 in miscellaneous expenses. The coupon amount ranges from $ 4,000 to $ 10.00 depending on the level of permanent disability.
